1.Through iTunes:
- In iTunes, select iPod in the Source pane and click the Summary tab.
- In the Options section:
- check "Manually manage ..."
- check “Enable disk use” (if not already)
· Click Apply.
You'll see a slider that allows you to set how much disk space is allocated to music
and data.
and data.
2. Through the iPod (not connected):
- Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
- Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears.
- Immediately switch your fingers to press and hold the Select and Play/Pause
Your iPod will now show up as another disk drive under My Computer. Double click
on it to open it. You'll see a handful of files. DON'T ALTER THESE! This is all the stuff
that make the iPod run.
To be extra safe you can create a new folder and save your stuff
in it (File > New > Folder).
