how to fix a CD scratch

Tricks  of restoring data
The CD or DVD is unreadable. What to do?
CD scratch: how to fix it?

The easiest way to clean the disc with a cotton soaked in alcohol or glass cleaner, wiping the disc from the inside out. When the disc has minor scratches, a solution of toothpaste and water can sometimes provide cleaning.

Another solution is to use the software Isobuster (www.isobuster.com / en). This software scans the disk surface and is bent on returning to the content. If the content is particularly valuable and that previous methods have failed, it is best to go to a specialty shop.

When the disc was recovered, it is advisable to make a copy using a burning software like Nero and use it routinely. It is best to store the original in a safe place.
